WattRamp is designed with privacy in mind. All your data stays on your device.
Overview
WattRamp is a free, open-source FTP testing extension for Hammerhead Karoo cycling computers. We believe in transparency and respect for user privacy.
Data We Collect
WattRamp collects and stores the following data locally on your device only:
- FTP Value — Your Functional Threshold Power setting
- Test History — Results of completed FTP tests (date, protocol used, calculated FTP)
- App Settings — Your preferences (language, theme, alert settings, ramp test parameters)
Data We Do NOT Collect
WattRamp does not:
- Send any data to external servers
- Collect personal information (name, email, location)
- Use analytics or tracking services
- Share data with third parties
- Require an account or registration
- Access your ride files or GPS data
Data Storage
All data is stored locally on your Karoo device using Android's DataStore preferences. This data:
- Remains entirely on your device
- Is not synced to any cloud service
- Is not accessible to other applications
- Can be deleted at any time through the app settings
Karoo SDK Integration
WattRamp uses the official Hammerhead Karoo Extension SDK to:
- Display data fields during rides
- Read power meter and heart rate data in real-time
- Show in-ride alerts and notifications
- Access your current FTP from Karoo user profile
This integration follows Hammerhead's official API guidelines. WattRamp does not modify or interfere with core Karoo functionality.

Children's Privacy
WattRamp does not knowingly collect any data from children under 13 years of age. The app does not collect personal information from any user.
